About the studio
Design that earns its permanence.
Plinth was founded in 2011 by Mette Lindgren, after a decade spent restoring pre-war apartments across Copenhagen and Berlin. The studio takes on a limited number of residential and hospitality projects each year, favouring depth of attention over volume.
Every material we specify is chosen to be lived with, not simply photographed — which is why so much of our early work is still, quietly, in daily use a decade later.

A material and spatial concept is developed and presented as one coherent direction, not a set of options.

Technical drawings, sourcing and specification are resolved in detail before anything is ordered.
